We raised £600 for Oxfam's Haiti Earthquake Appeal

A major earthquake, measuring 7.0 on the richter scale, struck the impoverished nation of Haiti on Tuesday 12 January. The quake was the most powerful to hit the Caribbean country in 200 years and brought a devastating blow for Haitians who were already struggling to survive.

Within hours of the earthquake, Oxfam played a major part in getting aid through to those in need, with the most immediate suport being from their staff in Haiti who provided shovels and picks to aid the search for trapped victims in Port-au-Prince.

With thousands of Haiti people in desperate need of humanitarian aid, Simply Supplements raised vital funds through facebook and website pledges to the Haiti Earthquake Appeal, which saw overwhelming support from our valued customers and facebook fans.

Together, with the help of our customers, we raised a total of £600 for the people of Haiti, bringing vital support to Oxfam’s efforts as they continue to help survivors of the Haiti earthquake begin the long process of recovery with cash-for-work projects, water, sanitation and shelter.
