    Dog had sore legs
    Kayleigh, Romsey
These tablets have completely transformed my Labrador, who at 6 years old was beginning to slow down was suffering from sore limbs which prevented her from running around. But ever since we started giving her these tablets each day she's completely changed and is back to her happy, puppy-like self!

    Maria Todorof, London
I cannot thank you enough! My little dog was so poorly. He couldn't walk, run or basically have a normal life. After just a week of those, he got so much better. He takes them for almost 8 months now and you will never guess how old he is or that he was almost immobile such a short while ago. And he loves taking them. I will wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who needs them. They give a new lease of life to our pets.

Have been giving these to my English bull terrier for over a year now...and they definitely work. After a good run on the moors he would often struggle the next day..but since taking these every day he is fine....may be a little stiff initially but no where near like he was.

    My cat suffers from arthritis
    Yasmin Underwood, Upminster
Every winter I would watch my cat, Horris, struggle getting up the stairs and it was obvious his joints were aching. I tried these Glucosamine tablets in the hope that they would help relieve the pain he suffered. There was a remarkable difference last winter, no struggling up the stairs, no obvious suffering of aches and pains. He seems to know the tablets are the reason he feels better and is happy to take his tablet every morning - no protest. I would defintely recommend them to anyone who has a pet suffering from aching joints, it really seems to work. It has given Horris a new lease of life and now he can run and play with the other cats without all the pain.

I read other customers reviews with some doubt hoping I would be proved wrong and I was. My cairn terrier was limping badly and having to be dragged on his walks. After a few days he seemed better in himself and this progressed so that after a month we had a new dog. Trotting round on his walks, wanting to play and demanding AND jumping up onto our knees.

She follows me in the kitchen for treats and can keep up on walks. She is not as active as my jack russells but has made such a good improvement and seems to have lost a few pounds as she can get about better.

Q: is it safe for humans to take Glucosamine for Cats & Dogs 180 Tablets & Cod Liver Oil 550mg for Cats & Dogs 180 Capsules.
A: Although the ingredients seem the same, the pet products are manufactured in a different way to the human supplements, and therefore they are tested differently as well, therefore we would not recommend that it is safe for humans to take any pet supplements.

Q: I have a very large pot of glucosamine sulphate for myself and was wondering if it is safe to use for my old dog now she is diagnosed with arthritis? The tablets are glucosamine 785mg (glucosamine sulphate 2KCl 1000mg).
A: Yes, it is safe to give your Glucosamine 1000 to your pet. However, we suggest to start by giving half a dose until you are confident that your pet is free from minor side effects like sneezing or coughing. Alternatively, we suggest to try our Glucosamine for pets and other Simply Pets products exclusively designed for cats and dogs.

Q: Hi, my staffi (9 years old) is currently taking seraquin which contains glucosamine hcl. Can I give the two types of tablets to her together or should I stop giving her one of them? Which one would you recommend the glucosamine hcl or the glucosamine sulphate?
A: Glucosamine 2KCl has better absorption rate than HCl hence we recommend this instead of the latter. Taking them together should bring no harm however please remember to not exceed the recommended daily allowance of Glucosamine. Directions For Animals 2-10kg 1 tablet, 10-25kg 2 tablets, 25kg+ 3 tablets. If unsure, please consult the Vets to ensure that your Staffy benefits well from the supplements.

Q: I have a 6 yr old golden retriever who has very stiff back legs due to hip dysplaisia. Could you please advise me as to which supplement you sell that he would benifit from.
I have been told that glucosamine is good???

Glucosamine is a product that we always recommend for joint pains, and it is our most popular joint supplement. Therefore, we would certainly recommend glucosamine to support your dogs joints. However, as golden retrievers are a larger breed, you may find our High Strength Glucosamine 1000mg capsules to be more beneficial (click HERE for more info).

Q: Just received tablets, I thought the pill looked rather big its says you can crush & put into food but my cat would not eat it. Can I give it by mouth & does it have to be after food?

If your cat is refusing to eat the tablet with their meal, you could try hiding the tablet in a small amount of cheese.

Q: Hi. Have just ordered this product for my dog who is having stiffness in one leg after rest/sleep. Have tried the vet route twice and discussed there alternative products. Can you tell me how long roughly this product takes to work or to see improvement?

Supplements generally take around 4-6 weeks to be fully absorbed into the system, however this will vary with individual animals.

Q: Would your recommend Glucosamine or cod liver oil for a nine year old Bichon Frise who is getting a bit stiff in the joints? She can no longer jump into the car or on to the sofa.

Although Cod Liver Oil has been shown to help with joint pain and stiffness, it is also taken as a general multivitamin and as an aid to things such as asthma and depression. Glucosamine is a product that has been shown to benefit joint pain, stiffness, arthritis, and wound healing. Glucosamine may be sufficient for her, however given her age it could also help if she is taking something that may also improve her general overall health. It may be a good idea to speak to your vet, as they can advise in more depth.

    Q: my dog is a cross lab/collie & is 12 1/2
yrs he is on 15ml metacam due and on samylin due to liver condition but is still quite stiff & back legs can give way. Wondering what would be the best things for him. he has ealso extremely bad breath though teeth fine & extremely non itchy dry skin with very thinning fur vet has done tests but thyroid seems doesnt want him on higher dose of metacam as liver condition can make medication more toxic. can you help thanks.

The only supplements we could really advise would be Breath Fresheners for Cats & Dogs, and Coat and Skin Formula for his thinning fur. However, given the prescription medication that he is on, we would advise that you consult your vet to ensure that none of the supplements are likely to counteract the medication that he is on.

Q: My cat is nearly 10 yrs and pretty active, but I am concerned that she may be getting a bit stiff in the joints. She weighs 4 kgs so would like to know dosage she'd require, of Glucosamine.
    She takes no other medication.

We would always advise that you consult your vet first of all, however, this 500mg Glucosamine for Cats & Dogs is highly recommended. For cats or dogs that weigh between 2-10kgs we recommend giving them 1 tablet per day.

Q: How many tablets are there in each pot?

There are 180 tablets in each pot. However all of our products are buy one get one free at the moment so you would recieve two pots, each with 180 tablets in, giving you 360 tablets in total.

  • 16th July 2010 - sally
Q: Hi could you tell me if the tablets are meat flavoured as many on the net are and i give my dog dry dog food and may struggle to give it to him

The tablets are coated but not flavoured. If you are concerned about feeding the tablet to your dog we would recommend crushing the tablet before adding to food or placing the tablet directly into the mouth.

  • 7th July 2010 - Linda Kelly
Q: What is the salt content please?

The glucosamine for pets does contain small amounts of salt. However the salt is not the usual sodium salt (table salt). The levels of salt are minimal.

  • 5th June 2010 - edwards
Q: Does the amount needed vary for different size dogs.
What is the mg in each tablet

The recommended amount to be taken is given on each tub, however depending on the size of your animal they may require more or less than that recommended. Your vet will be able to help you with how much is required for your animal.

Each of these tablets contains 500mg Glucosamine Sulphate 500mg 2kcl.

  • 29th March 2010 - Sue Bridle
Q: My 15 1/2 terrier cross is currently on Hills prescription diet that seems to be mostly cod liver oil (although I can not find out exactly what is in it).
This is supposed to be helping with his joints but I would like to give him a supplement too as he is getting much stiffer still. Do you know if the glucosamine supplements would be ok to give with this diet or should I ask my vet?

You need to ask your vet regarding existing prescriptions. Glucosamine is used by many pet owners for their dogs and cats and is very beneficial, however you will need to confirm with your vet to mix the two.
