| Q: | Hi. Have just ordered this product for my dog who is having stiffness in one leg after rest/sleep. Have tried the vet route twice and discussed there alternative products. Can you tell me how long roughly this product takes to work or to see improvement? |
|---|---|
| A: | Supplements generally take around 4-6 weeks to be fully absorbed into the system, however this will vary with individual animals.
|
| Q: | Would your recommend Glucosamine or cod liver oil for a nine year old Bichon Frise who is getting a bit stiff in the joints? She can no longer jump into the car or on to the sofa. |
|---|---|
| A: | Although Cod Liver Oil has been shown to help with joint pain and stiffness, it is also taken as a general multivitamin and as an aid to things such as asthma and depression. Glucosamine is a product that has been shown to benefit joint pain, stiffness, arthritis, and wound healing. Glucosamine may be sufficient for her, however given her age it could also help if she is taking something that may also improve her general overall health. It may be a good idea to speak to your vet, as they can advise in more depth.

| Q: | Hi I have a 12mth old rotti and she seams to have a cold or flu what the best thing for her and why? Thank you. |
|---|---|
| A: | The best thing we could suggest is our Multivitamins for Pets. This helps to maintain your pets overall health and provides 80mg of Vitamin C which helps boost your pets immune system, helping to reduce and prevent the syptoms of colds and flu. |
| Q: | my dog is a cross lab/collie & is 12 1/2 yrs he is on 15ml metacam due and on samylin due to liver condition but is still quite stiff & back legs can give way. Wondering what would be the best things for him. he has ealso extremely bad breath though teeth fine & extremely non itchy dry skin with very thinning fur vet has done tests but thyroid seems fine.vet doesnt want him on higher dose of metacam as liver condition can make medication more toxic. can you help thanks. |
|---|---|
| A: | The only supplements we could really advise would be Breath Fresheners for Cats & Dogs, and Coat and Skin Formula for his thinning fur. However, given the prescription medication that he is on, we would advise that you consult your vet to ensure that none of the supplements are likely to counteract the medication that he is on. |
| Q: | what difference is there between the human form and the animal form of Glucosamine supplement? would it harm my dog if he was given the human form? |
|---|---|
| A: | These two products are extremely similar, therefore there should be no harm in you dog taking the human form. |

| Q: | Hello. My cat is nearly 10 yrs and pretty active, but I am concerned that she may be getting a bit stiff in the joints. She weighs 4 kgs so would like to know dosage she'd require, of Glucosamine. She takes no other medication. Many thanks. |
|---|---|
| A: | We would always suggest that you consult your vet first of all, however we do supply a 500mg Glucosamine for Cats & Dogs and recommend 1 tablet a day for cats or dogs that weigh between 2-10kg. |
| Q: | How many tablets are there in each pot? |
|---|---|
| A: | There are 180 tablets in each pot. However all of our products are buy one get one free at the moment so you would recieve two pots, each with 180 tablets in, giving you 360 tablets in total. |
| Q: | Hi could you tell me if the tablets are meat flavoured as many on the net are and i give my dog dry dog food and may struggle to give it to him |
|---|---|
| A: | The tablets are coated but not flavoured. If you are concerned about feeding the tablet to your dog we would recommend crushing the tablet before adding to food or placing the tablet directly into the mouth. |
| Q: | What is the salt content please? |
|---|---|
| A: | The glucosamine for pets does contain small amounts of salt. However the salt is not the usual sodium salt (table salt). The levels of salt are minimal. |
| Q: | Does the amount needed vary for different size dogs. What is the mg in each tablet |
|---|---|
| A: | The recommended amount to be taken is given on each tub, however depending on the size of your animal they may require more or less than that recommended. Your vet will be able to help you with how much is required for your animal.
Each of these tablets contains 500mg Glucosamine Sulphate 500mg 2kcl. |
| Q: | My 15 1/2 terrier cross is currently on Hills prescription diet that seems to be mostly cod liver oil (although I can not find out exactly what is in it). This is supposed to be helping with his joints but I would like to give him a supplement too as he is getting much stiffer still. Do you know if the glucosamine supplements would be ok to give with this diet or should I ask my vet? |
|---|---|
| A: | You need to ask your vet regarding existing prescriptions. Glucosamine is used by many pet owners for their dogs and cats and is very beneficial, however you will need to confirm with your vet to mix the two. |
| Q: | Please can you tell me if your glucosamine supplements are derived from bovine cartilage? |
|---|---|
| A: | Our Glucosamine for Pets is derived from shellfish. |
