|A:||Unfortunately, as we are not medically trained, we are unable to advise on whether Black Cohosh would be safe to take if you have diabetes. We suggest that you seek advice from your local pharmacist or GP, who will be able to assist you further.|
|Q:||I have been taking black cosh for about 6 weeks I take 2 in the morning 2 in the evening.I am still getting sleepless nights and flushes, Can I up the dose?
Is there anything else I can try?. I see other people have taken Menapol Plus can I try this too?
|A:||The maximum amount of Black Cohosh we would advise to take is 4 tablets per day, however, Black Cohosh may be taken along side another supplements such as, Menapol Plus as long as you do not exceed the recommended daily dose per supplement. Please also know that you must consult a GP or pharmacist before combing herbs with drugs as some ingredients may interact with each other.|
|Q:||I already take a magnesium supplement and red clover. Is it ok to take black cohosh too. Regular Hot flushes have morphed into one big sweat and I am desparate feel normal again!|
|A:||With regards to taking different supplements together, one of the many benefits of natural herbal medicines is the safety parameters when mixing several vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Providing that you do not take more than the recommended dosage of each supplement, we are not aware of any reason why you are not able to combine the 3 supplements.|
|Q:||I have just received my supply of black cohosh, should I take 4 tablets in one go or split it 2 in morn and 2 in evening thank you|
|A:||Where you have to take two or more capsules or tablets of the same preparation, it is a good idea to spread these out over the day in order to maximize absorption and cause less fluctuation in blood levels. We suggest to take two after your breakfast meal and another two after your evening meal.|
|Q:||How many Black Cohosh 200mg should I take per day?|
We advise to take between 1 and 4 tablets each day, depending on the severity of the symptoms you are experiencing.
|Q:||I have been taking sage for 6 mths for hot flushes and they completely stopped but have come back, so now take menapol plus which helped a little but started also taking Black cohash and they have seemingly gone but I appear to be very bloated and uncomfortable is this a side effect?|
|A:||Black Cohosh is considered a safe herbal remedy. Everyone reacts differently on supplements, some people do experience certain discomforts including bloatedness or headache. We suggest that you stop taking the Black Cohosh for a few days and see if you feel better. For other serious health concerns you may have, we suggest that you talk to your local GP.|
|Q:||Can taking black cohosh bring your periods back?|
There is no evidence to confirm that Black Cohosh can help to restart your menstrual cycle.
|Q:||I have been taking Menapol Plus for about a year now and they worked very well, but now certain symptoms have started coming back. I was recommended Black Cohosh and would like to know how many tablets I should start taking with the two-a-day Menapol Plus please.
We recommend taking 1-4 tablets of Black Cohosh on a daily basis, depending on the severity of your symptoms. Menapol Plus does not contain Black Cohosh and so these two products are safe to take together.

Unfortunately, due to new EU legislation, there will come a time when we will no longer be able to sell Black Cohosh. We will of course supply the product for as long as we are able to.
|Q:||Can you tell me how long they can take to have an effect.|
Supplements can work in different ways for different people, and the length of time they take to work can vary. We generally advise that you take Black Cohosh for at least six weeks in order to achieve the full effects.
|Q:||I am currently taking menapol plus. Can i also take black cohosh?|
Providing that you do not exceed the recommended dosage for either product, there should be no harm in taking Black Cohosh and Menapol Plus together. If you do have any concerns, we would advise that you consult your GP.

You will receive two pots of 180 tablets for each order. We advise that you take between 1-4 tablets on a daily basis, depending on the severity of the symptoms.
Can i take black cohosh as i am on warfarin?
