Cranberries are rich in Vitamin C and are thought to contain antioxidant properties which may help to contribute to cell protection from the damage caused by free radicals.
A particularly popular supplement with women, cranberries naturally contain anthocyanidins, proanthocyanidins and flavonoids, the main active constituents of which are carbohydrates and organic acids (including ascorbic acid). Cranberries are also rich in Vitamin C, providing effective antioxidant properties which are widely believed to contribute to cell protection from the damage caused by free radicals.
The organic acids within cranberries are responsible for the sour taste of cranberries and so this highly concentrated extract is an ideal alternative to eating the somewhat bitter berries or drinking sugary cranberry juice.

| Q: | Hi there. Could you tell me if these cranberry capsules are suitable for children. My niece is 7 years old and suffers with urinary tract problems that causes intermitant discomfort for her on a fairly regular basis. Doctors have just advised to keep drinking plenty. Would these supplements be advisable? |
|---|---|
| A: | The only supplements that we supply for children are Omega 3 for Kids and Children’s Chewable Multivitamins, both are recommended for children aged between 5-14 years of age.
