Woke up one morning and couldn’t lift my leg out of bed without acute pain.
Diagnosed as wearing of the hip joint with associated arthritis – but not bad
enough to warrant a replacement. Doctor advised no other option but paracetamol,
as needed to counter the pain. I looked for ‘remedies’ on various websites,
including Simply Supplements’ and discovered Glucosamine. Unfortunately this did
little to counter my symptoms.
Around the same time my teenage son was fortunate to be identified as a
possible elite rower. Included in the stiff regime he adopted, was the
identification of drugs and substances not permitted to be taken. In this list
was Chondroitin, which was identified as an ‘aid to the repair of joints’ and
‘joint tissue development’ Logic says if it is recognised by sporting
authorities as ‘working’, why not give it a go.
Three + years on, by taking a Glucoamine/ Chondroitin mix, I rarely have
need for pain relief, only suffering an occasional aching rather than acute

I have taken Glucosamine and Chondritin tablets
for several years now and believe that it helps to lubricate my joints keeping
them free from troubles such as stiffness and arthritis. Indeed at 70 years of
age I am able to play competitive golf 3 and 4 times per week to handicap of 11,
without any resulting problems, and consider myself to be as supple as even the
younger members of the group with which I play (some as young as 55!!).
As a
result I will continue to take them indefinitely.

Without any shadow of doubt Glucosamine and Chondroitin has been my 'saviour'. I used to be able to walk for up to 15 miles without any problems. Then, gradually, the 'shock absorbers' began to lose their effectiveness. My knees became painful and as a consequence the pleasures of walking became fewer and fewer. years ago I slipped a disc in my back resulting in six weeks in hospital. My
