The benefits of Siberian Ginseng

The Siberian Ginseng plant, also known as Eleutherococcus Senticosus, is native to Asia and has a long history of use as a herbal remedy. The roots contain ‘active’ compounds called Eleutherosides, which are believed to help sustain energy levels. Although it offers stimulatory benefits similar to Korean Ginseng, the Eleutherosides in Siberian Ginseng are believed to offer a steadier – and more natural – release of energy. Ginseng is also referred to as an adaptogen because it may help to strengthen the body against mental and physical stress.

    Q: Hi there,
Shall I take my Siberian Gingseng in the morning or evening? And do I have to take it with or after food?
    Many thanks,
A: We would advise that you take Siberian Ginseng immediately after food to aid its digestion. Siberian Ginseng acts as a stimulant so it's best to avoid taking these tablets in the hours before bed. Many people find it beneficial to take one tablet in the morning, and another to overcome an early-afternoon energy slump if needed. However, this can differ from person to person so it's important to find a routine that suits you.

We are not aware of any side effects of taking a Ginseng supplement alongside the Contraceptive Pill. However, as the pill is a prescribed medication, we would advise that you check with your GP or pharmacist.
