Selenium is an essential trace mineral and potent anti-oxidant that is an essential part of the enzymes which make up the body’s natural antioxidant defence system. This works to ‘mop up’ excess cell damaging free radicals which can cause ageing and disease. Selenium is also thought to be necessary for the normal function of the immune system and the normal utilisation of iodine in the production of thyroid hormones.

Selenium is a trace element which is found in soil and unfortunately, in the UK our soil is considered to be low in Selenium due to intensive farming. The body does not produce Selenium naturally and therefore we must maintain healthy levels of this essential mineral through eating a healthy diet and supplementation.

Ingredients:

Selenium 200mcg (200% RDA), Vitamin C 80mg (100% RDA), Vitamin E 12mg (100% RDA), Vitamin A 800mcg (100% RDA), Dicalcium Phosphate, Magnesium Stearate.

Directions:

Take one to two tablets daily as a food supplement or as directed by a healthcare professional. Store in a cool dry place. Keep away from children at all times. Do not use if the seal is broken. Not to be taken with other vitamin A products. Not advised if you are pregnant or likely to be pregnant, except on doctors advice.

If you are taking any prescription medication, you have a medical condition or you have specific concerns about the suitability of any of our products in relation to these, you should always consult your GP or Pharmacist prior to taking supplements. I have been using three of your products for many years and take them every day. I take Selenium (200 mcg), Starflower Oil (500 mg ) and Omega 3 (1000 mg ) every day. I must say I feel very young (and told I look many years younger than my actual age) I am also full of energy. I have taken these three vitamins for the past 20 years. I believe in vitamin tablets and I sincerely think they have helped me to remain youthful facial wise and also given me energy. I cleanse and moisterise my face every day. I exercise regularly, play shortmat bowls two mornings a week and outside green bowls every week and sometimes twice a week. I can thoroughly recommend your products to any mature lady...personally I would like to be in a position to purchase more of your products but as a pensioner I am on a budget so have to be selective for my own personal use. I only hope my comments will help another young mature lady.

Good running recovery aid. I do a lot of running and take these after a run to help with recovery. I find it help to boost my system when I'm fatigued and means the next day I've got more energy and am ready to go again. The products great at this price, cheaper than I've seen anywhere else. 5 stars.

Although I take several Simply Supplement products for myself, and order others for my dogs, my own particular 'favourite' is Selenium, which I take for my joints. I feel it does help my arthritic/sciatic conditions quite considerably. I like Simply Supplements because of the small, neat, easy to handle containers, plus the cheap or often free postage, and the prompt delivery. Also appreciated are the buy one, get one free offers, the free gifts and the very reasonable prices. Ordering by post or Internet is also very easy. Having tried various other companies in the past, I really do feel that Simply Supplements are simply the best. I have even got my 88-year-old mother ordering from you now!

Simply Supplements is brilliant, with free P&P when you order online. Delivery does take a bit longer than some companies as they are based in the Channel Islands, but their products are of high quality. I would much rather wait a few extra days and get a much better price! I would order from them in the future

I've been using it together with a magnesium supplement, a chromium supplement and a vitamin B supplement to beat the winter blues and it really has helped keep them at bay. As a bonus I seem to have lost a little weight too without trying - presumably because of the effect both selenium and chromium have on metabolism. Great. At £3.79 for 120 tablets it's the best price around. It's also the only brand I have come across that is free from any artificial additives, lactose, wheat, gluten and yeast (some are only free of a one or two of these) so it doesn't trigger off any allergies!

I am no longer as active as I used to be so I take Selenium to help protect my muscles that have reduced in strength as I have got older. I couldn't recommend a better product. It also helps to keep my hair and nails in a better condition. The BOGOF offer is the best that I have come across. Q:	Hello, recently my hair has really thinned out @ was given iron tablets from mmy doctors & has recovered slightly but it seems that the slightest bit of stress or worry & my hair seems to dissapear & read about this vitamin & that can also help with hair growth, i am also taking zinc supplements, will this Selenuim also help with hair & possibly its growth?
