    Problem resolved quickly

I was not particularly happy when I opened up my parcel to find that one of the bottles was in fact vitamin c, not echinacea. However, after speaking to a customer service agent, I was satisfied that the situation was dealt with quickly and my replacement arrived the following day. Your prices are always excellent and I remain a satisfied customer.

    A bit too large
    Audrey Duffy, Huddersfield
I find that the Echinacea really do help but I'd prefer a smaller tablet. Sometimes they are difficult to swallow so have to cut them im half, bit of a hassle, maybe you could consider producing a smaller tablet in future.

Q: Is it safe to take echinacea if one is on statins and spiriva (for empyhsema)?
A: Unfortunately, as we are not medically trained, we are unable to advise on whether this would be safe to take. We kindly ask that you contact your local pharmacist or GP who will be able to advise you correctly.

Q: What part of the plant does this come from?

Our Echinacea extracts are taken from the root and stem of the plant, as these are known to contain the beneficial compounds.

  • 18th November 2013 - janet

Q: Have you any idea when the alternative
1000mg echinacea will be available as I would prefer the option of taking extra when I feel a cold coming on which I understand you can't do with the 3200mg currently available.
I have a small supply of 1000mg but am not sure whether to wait for the alternative or buy the 3200mg for now as I don't want to run out. Thanks

We do not currently have any plans to reintroduce the 1000mg Echinacea. It may be back in the brochure at some time in the future, but this is unlikely to happen within the next few months.

Q: I have been taking echinacea since spring every single day. Am I suppose to give this a break and if so for how long and when do I start it up again.

We generally advise that you may feel more benefit if you stop taking this for a couple of months during the summer time.

Q: Hi, my son has asthma, he is 17 can he take this supplement? Regards.

Generally with supplements, we do advise that they are safe to take for anyone over the age of 16, and providing that he does not exceed the RDA of the product, there should be no problem taking these. If you do have any concerns, we would advise that you consult your GP as we are not medically trained.

Q: my daughters 2 and a half year old twins are struggling to get well after having to have a double course of antibiotics to clear up their ear infections, conjunctivitis and tonsilitis, is there an echinacea for children or can you recommend something else. They eat plenty of fruit and yoghurt every day and home made meals with meat and veg. thank you.

Unfortunately, we do not supply an Echinacea for children. We do supply a Children’s Chewable Multivitamin, but this is recommended for children over the age of 5. Therefore we would advise consulting your GP or pharmacist in regards to this.

Q: What is the minimum age this can be taken. I have a five year old and with the threat of this Australian flu I was wondering if he would be able to take them.

Whilst the suitability of supplements for children does differ from product to product, it is not considered safe for children under the age of twelve to take this supplement.

Alternatively, you may find that our Children's Multivitamins can help to boost your sons immune system. This supplement contains beneficial levels of vitamins A, C and D.
