Quality is our Priority

Manufactured in the UK to EU Standards

Sourced within the UK to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and EU Standards

If you are looking for quality assurance on the supplements you buy then look no further than Simply Supplements. We are truly dedicated to providing the highest quality supplements by sourcing original and genuine raw materials and extracts, which are manufactured in the UK to GMP and EU standards.

GMP offers complete quality assurance; it is a set of strict pharmaceutical regulations, codes, and guidelines that ensure that food supplements are constantly manufactured and controlled to a high standard which is suitable for use. GMP is highly regarded as it verifies manufacturing excellence and demonstrates a manufacturer's ability to produce supplements that meet both the industry's high standards of quality and safety as well as label claims, for consistently reliable clinical outcomes.

Simply Supplements' GMP approved products are manufactured with strict compliance to the GMP pharmaceutical guidelines in the UK. Whilst GMP certification is not a legal requirement for food supplements in the UK, Simply Supplements choose to recognise it as it offers genuine quality assurance.

Our commitment to maintaining only the highest standards of quality has lead to us becoming one of the largest and fastest growing vitamins and minerals suppliers in the UK. Hundreds of thousands of customers choose our products, and we value and honour their custom by offering a Certificate of Analysis upon request, with each an every product we supply.

Ground Breaking Transparency with Product Ingredients

The 1st UK Vitamin & Supplement supplier to provide customers with Certificates of Analysis in the UK Marketplace!

Certificates of Analysis document the laboratory tests performed for health food supplement manufacturers that validate the purity and level of active ingredients within a product. Only a small handful of companies worldwide provide this degree of product quality assurance and public disclosure. No laws or regulations require us to document the quality of our supplements, but we have chosen to set new standards in doing this, so that you, our valued customers, have full assurance and confidence in the quality and purity of all Simply Supplements products.

With our strict quality control systems you can be sure that each and every batch of products you receive from us will be of the highest quality. We insist that the ingredients used by our manufacturers are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis to confirm the quality of the product and that all ingredients have been checked to ensure they comply with the certification. Furthermore, Simply Supplements verify these Certificates of Analysis that we receive with our raw materials by testing them again under clinical lab conditions to ensure that we use only the purest ingredients within our supplements. Finally, we conduct a further finished product inspection, which ensures that we only sell products that adhere to our meticulous dedication to quality and contain the declared potency of active ingredients.

Most companies in this industry will not issue Certificates of Analysis or even a label. Simply Supplements on the other hand, are proud to disclose our Certificates of Analysis for customers to view. We believe that this is the best way to guarantee that you are getting the highest quality ingredients and that every single tablet or capsule contains exactly what it says on the label. Certificates of Analysis are available upon request. Please contact our customer service department for more information.

Standardised Extracts

Supplements are natural and therefore the levels of the active ingredients within them can vary depending on the source. It is important to ensure that the extract within the supplement is standardised in order to guarantee the quality and potency of the active principle of the source. For this reason, Simply Supplements only source standardised extracts that are far more concentrated than many products available on the market which are based on powdered whole herb, which do not have a guaranteed potency.

Fish Oil Quality

It is a fact of modern day life that one of the healthiest foods in our diet, fish, contains traces of pollutants that are present in even the cleanest waters around the world. Nonetheless, all Simply Supplements fish oil is refined using molecular distillation which is the most advanced process for concentration and purification of EPA and DHA from starter fish oil material. This sophisticated technique has unprecedented capabilities in preventing impurities from existing in the fish oil. In addition, all of our fish oil is GMP certified and is compliant with the Council for Responsible Nutrition's (CRN) voluntary monograph on long chain omega 3 EPA and DHA, which ensures strict quality, purity and manufacturing standards for the production of fish oil.

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Approved

What is GMP?
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) offers quality assurance; it is a set of strict pharmaceutical regulations, codes, and guidelines that ensure that food supplements are constantly manufactured and controlled to a high standard which is suitable for use. Within the UK it is only legally applicable to medicines and veterinary medicines, however, GMP is a self-regulatory code within the supplements industry which is used alongside the regulations that are set out within the Food Supplements Directive.

Simply Supplements' purchasing team ensure that all of our supplements comply with the Food Supplements Directive and that countless products are GMP certified.

What about products from outside the UK?
Whilst GMP certification is not a legal requirement for food supplements in the UK, Simply Supplements choose to recognise it as it offers genuine quality assurance. GMP approved factories worldwide are independently audited to ensure quality standards are consistently met including facilities, cleanliness and quality control along with many other important issues. This ensures only high quality products that contain what they say on the label. GMP is highly regarded as it verifies manufacturing excellence and demonstrates a manufacturer's ability to produce supplements that meet both the industry's high standards of quality and safety as well as label claims, for consistently reliable clinical outcomes.

Chondroitin Sulphate

Simply Supplements have introduced additional testing in relation to recent news of substandard chondroitin sulphate in the marketplace. Not only are we testing the raw material at source, but also every single batch of the manufactured tablet will be tested using the latest and most effective test analysis. Since this quality system has been introduced we have rejected 3 out of 4 chondroitin samples that were analysed when in powder form pre-production. Simply Supplements Chondroitin is also only produced in GMP facilities that are regularly inspected for quality and safety.

There is currently debate and confusion in the industry in relation to which method is an effective Chondroitin Sulphate Test. The Industry confusion over testing Chondroitin Sulphate surrounds the following 5 Tests - HPLC, HPLC/Enzyme, CPC(Cetyl Pyridinium Chloride Titration), carbazole reaction testing & size exclusion chromatography. Currently, there is no stand-alone "official method" to both identify chondroitin sulphate and quantify the amount of the ingredient. Further difficulties arise because quantitative analysis of the compound in raw materials has a wide molecular weight variation of its polymers, poor ultra violet absorbance, and strongly ionic nature. We feel that due to the confusion over testing and varying qualities of raw material, suppliers are in fact using the wrong methods and therefore unintentionally supplying chondroitin sulphate that is substandard.

You can now be sure that all future Simply Supplements Chondroitin Sulphate
is guaranteed to be of the highest possible quality with technically advanced testing at each stage of the production process.
